Dr. Fiona Walton, Professor of Education at UPEI, has been awarded a 2012 3M National Teaching Fellowship. Each year, the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and 3M Canada join together to reward exceptional teaching and learning at Canadian universities. more

Every year, motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country join together to raise funds to fight prostate cancer in the TELUS Motorcycle Ride for Dad. This year, some of the money raised by the PEI chapter will support the research of UPEI's Dr. Robert Hurta, Associate Professor of Biology. more

Dr. Andrew Trivett, Professor of Engineering at UPEI, set aside his academic research last summer and focused on wasted water issues through crowdsourcing, a science that allows companies to seek experts from around the world. more

Halifax native and former Citadel High School basketball star, Deontay (D.J.) Smith, will be joining the UPEI men's basketball team next season. Panthers head coach Tim Kendrick coached Smith on the Nova Scotia Canada Games team that won silver at the 2009 Canada Games. more

On a double-overtime goal from alternate team captain Matt Carter, the UPEI men’s hockey team beat Acadia 6-5 Monday night to advance to the 2012 Subway Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey semifinal playoff. more
